Before you begin
Installing this early release
Open the DMG and drag Modial to Applications. This build uses ad-hoc signing, not Developer ID signing, and has not been notarized by Apple. macOS may block it. If you need a notarized app, wait for a signed release.
What changes when I apply a mode?
Modial changes your Mac’s display, system sleep, and screen saver settings. Applying power settings can require administrator authorization. Lock-screen password rules and lid-close behavior are unchanged.
What happens when I quit?
Applied settings remain in place after quitting. Keep Modial running for automatic return to Normal. Closing the main window keeps it in the menu bar; ⌘Q quits the app.
Can I restore my original settings?
Modial backs up your original settings before its first change. Use the restore action in Current Settings to return to that backup. Normal is an editable preset, not the original-settings backup.
